Office of Civil Defense (OCD) invites Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees (BDRRMCs) in Central Luzon to join its mobile video making contest.
The activity is in line with the 3rd Quarter 2021 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) slated this September 9.
OCD Regional Director and Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council 3 Chairperson Cesar Idio said each participating BDRRMC is allowed to submit one original and unpublished video entry that promotes earthquake preparedness in the community amid the pandemic.
“The entry should be limited to two to three minutes only, either documentary, short film, audio-visual campaign, or infomercial. Video material should be taken using mobile phone only, and must have no copyright infringement,” Idio explained.
BDRRMCs may submit their video entries to [email protected] until September 7, 12:00NN.
“Only screened entries will be uploaded on the Civil Defense Central Luzon Facebook Page from September 9 to 14. Winners will be posted on the same facebook page on September 16,” Idio said.
Video entries will be judged based on their relevance to theme (35 percent), artistry/creativity/mastery (30 percent), originality (25 percent), and visual impact (10 percent).
Winners will receive the following cash prizes: 1st place- P5,000; 2nd place- P4,000; 3rd place- P3,000; Netizen’s Favorite- P2,000; and consolation prizes- P1,000.
