TARLAC CITY (PIA) — Nayong Pilipino Tarlac is set to open to the public this 2024.
The provincial government and Nayong Pilipino Foundation unveiled the two-storey building at the Provincial Guest House as part of the activities of the 8th Kanlahi Festival.
In her message, Governor Susan Yap emphasized the significant role of arts in educating the youth about culture and making them appreciate history.
“This will become the new home for Nayong Pilipino’s cultural and historical collection to bring them closer to our fellow Tarlaqueños and to enrich their knowledge about the colorful history of our country,” Yap said.
About 3,000 pieces of Nayong Pilipino Foundation’s Ethnographic Collection will be featured including the traditional works of the Abelling Tribe.
It will also house a center focused on research, conservation, interpretation and exhibition. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
