SCIENCE CITY OF MUÑOZ – About 50 micro entrepreneurs have benefited from marketing and digital skills training aimed at promoting digital literacy and strengthening local businesses in Nueva Ecija.

This initiative is part of the Business Masterclass, a collaborative effort between Central Luzon State University (CLSU) through its College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Nueva Ecija, which focused on the vital role of marketing in micro-enterprise success.

Under the theme “Partnership for the Goals, Partnership for Sustainable Development,” the one-day intensive learning session focused on online marketing, digital marketing essentials for online sellers, customer relationship management, and business ethics, all tailored to the needs of micro-enterprises in the digital economy.

CLSU-CBA Dean Rocelyn Barroga welcomed the participants and underscored the importance of continuous business education in enhancing livelihoods and boosting local economic resilience.

Faculty members from the college delivered practical and engaging lectures, providing insights into the benefits of online marketing for micro-businesses and a practical guide to digital marketing for online sellers.

The training also included a discussion on customer relationship management and business ethics in the digital age, highlighting the importance of trust and how to build long-term customer loyalty.

Entrepreneur Mariedy Lopez from Rizal, Nueva Ecija, shared that the sessions emphasized the importance of both customer service and product value.

“Hindi lang dapat maging mabuti ka sa customer mo—dapat maganda at quality rin ang product mo,” Lopez remarked.

Furthermore, 25 participants will be selected to showcase their products at an upcoming business trade show this August, providing them with an opportunity to expand their market reach and connect with potential partners.  (CLJD/CNG, PIA 3-Nueva Ecija)
