
TARLAC CITY – The newly inaugurated Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital Ambulatory Surgical and Multispecialty Center – Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Services (JASMC-BUCAS) in Victoria, Tarlac is set to provide comprehensive services addressing urgent and routine healthcare needs.
Department of Health (DOH) Central Luzon Center for Health Development Regional Director Corazon Flores emphasized the significance of JASMC-BUCAS, noting its role in improving access to medical services.
“This is not just a facility; it’s a promise fulfilled. Through BUCAS, we are putting health closer to home, minimizing the burden of travel and long waits in hospitals,” she stated.
The Tarlac JASMC-BUCAS offers general and specialty consultations in internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, surgery, family medicine, and dental services.
It likewise provides minor surgeries, reducing the need for referrals to tertiary hospitals, along with preventive medicine services focusing on early detection, education, and lifestyle management.
Also available are laboratory examinations to support diagnostics; radiology services, including X-ray and ultrasound, for accurate and timely assessments; and electrocardiogram or ECG services to monitor heart health.
Additionally, the facility provides ancillary services, including a fully operational pharmacy for easy access to prescribed medications.
As a DOH flagship program, the Tarlac JASMC-BUCAS aligns with the agency’s goal of providing “Ligtas, Dekalidad, at Mapagkalingang Serbisyo (Safe, Quality and Caring Service” to all Filipinos. (CLJD/MAECR, PIA Region 3-Tarlac)
