LUBAO, Pampanga — Some 50 members of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) on Tuesday officially took their oath as new members of the ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).
The oathtaking ceremony was led by LMP Adviser and Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab.
PDP-Laban stalwarts Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III and House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez administered the oathtaking of the new members, which also coincided with the LMP General Assembly led by Cayabyab.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at Pradera Verde in Lubao, Pampanga where former President and Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda were invited by the LMP.
Arroyo delivered her welcome remarks to the new members of the LMP.
Arroyo remains to be part of the Lakas-CMD-Kampi political party.
