The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) joins the Province of Bulacan, through its Provincial History, Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office (Bulacan PHACTO) in celebrating the 7th Anniversary of the SINELIKSIK BULACAN program at the historic Metropolitan Theater in Manila on 25 November 2024.
The SINELIKSIK is the pioneering annual short-film development festival by the Province of Bulacan that involves local filmmakers in creative films that highlight the rich history and vibrant culture of their province. The Bulacan PHACTO will also award the Gawad SINELIKSIK to its key partners in recognition of their support towards the successes of the project.
Six (6) award-winning short films from the SINELIKSIK program will be featured at the Metropolitan Theater as part of the NHCP and National Commission on Culture and the Arts’ (NCCA) Kasaysayan Sa MET (KSM) program, namely “Obando at ang Sayaw ng Pananampalataya” by Ron Joseph Cristobal; “King Wa: Ang Naglahong Kaharian ng Quingua” and “Guillermo: Ang Handog na Obra” by Andrew Alto de Guzman; “El Heroe Verdadero: Don Antonio Bautista” by Christopher F. Adriano; “BAHAWIN: Lunas sa Gitna ng Giyera” by Marwin Librada; and “DuHaWis (Gerilya: Dugong Bayani)” by Ronaldo N. Dionisio.
The NHCP is the primary agency mandated with strengthening nationalism through the promotion of our history and protection of our cultural heritage.
