Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar (2nd from left) led the final inspection of the 2.6-kilometer NLEX Harbor Link project from the new Caloocan Interchange (C3) to Mel Lopez Boulevard (formerly R10). With him are (L-R) DPWH PPP Director Alex G. Bote, NLEX Corporation Chief Operating Officer Raul L. Ignacio, and Vice President for Tollway Development and Engineering Nemesio G. Castillo.
Once opened, this elevated expressway will serve as a direct route from NLEX to the Port Area and vice versa—making the delivery of goods quicker and more efficient. It reduces travel time between Manila and Quezon City to just 20 minutes.
The NLEX Harbor Link is envisioned to boost productivity as well as spur trade and commerce, while also providing ease of travel especially for commercial vehicles.
