CITY OF MALOLOS – Pandieños will now have an easy access to a medical facility as the Outpatient Clinic of Pandi District Hospital officially opened on Monday at Brgy. Bunsuran 1st, Pandi town.
Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro together with Pandi Mayor Enrico Roque led the opening ceremony of the 25-bed capacity outpatient clinic that will initially provide outpatient services with two medical doctors to be assigned temporarily, two nurses, one attendant and four security guards.
Congressman Ambrosio Cruz Jr. and Board Members Ricky Roque and Teta Mendoza from the Fifth District of Bulacan also graced the event.
According to Dr. Protacio Bajao of the Bulacan Medical Center, the hospital is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday only.
However, the remaining departments of the said level 1 hospital is expected to be operational next year.
The hospital that sits on an 8,000 square meters -lot area and a floor area of 1,824.55 square meters has also a second floor and a one storey building next to it.
According to Provincial Engineer Glenn D. Reyes, a total of P40,047,600 PGB fund and
P19,180,064 NHA fund were spent to erect the edifice with a grand total of P59,227,665.
In his message before the blessing and ribbon cutting ceremonies, Fernando thanked the National Housing Authority as well as the Municipal Government of Pandi and Cong. Ambrosio Cruz for their support.
“Saludo tayo sa kanilang suporta. Maraming, maraming salamat po. Kailangan nating palakasin talaga ang health services at sa sama- samang pagtutulungan, ngayon po ay nakatindig na at makapagseserbisyo na ang outpatient clinic ng Pandi District Hospital,” the governor said.
Fernando also plans to rehabilitate Calumpit District Hospital and to intensify the provinces’ campaign to generate more income to achieve universal health care for the Bulakenyos.
For his part Vice Gov. Castro said that the opening of Pandi District Hospital shows that the provincial government under the leadership of Fernando done its double effort to become this dream a reality that will not only serve people of Pandi but also for Bulakenyos from nearby towns.
Mayor Roque is also very grateful for the fulfillment of the opening of the Pandi District Hospital which he first dreamed of since his first term as mayor 12 years ago.
