Half a million pesos (Php500,000.00) worth of suspected shabu were seized by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) from suspected pushers in separate buy-bust operations in Cebu on October 4, 2017.
PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino identified the suspects as Segundo Navasquez y Caballero Jr., Arvin dela Fuente y Campana, and a minor cohort.
Navasquez and the minor cohort were arrested by elements of PDEA Regional Office 7 (PDEA RO7) under the direct supervision of the Acting Director Atty. Ana Lyn Hernandez during a buy-bust operation at around 1:00 pm in San Isidro, Perrelos, Carcar City, Cebu. At around 2:00 pm, the same operating team conducted another buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of dela Fuente in Poblacion 3, Carcar City, Cebu.
Confiscated from the suspects were more or less 100 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of Php500,000.00.
Cases for violation of Article II of RA 9165, otherwise known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed in court against the ssuspects.
