CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga – Authorities intercepted ₱708,000 worth of kush, or high-grade marijuana, in a joint interdiction operation at the Port of Clark on Wednesday, July 3.
The illegal drugs were found inside a package declared as “Sasstie Reading Pillows for Sitting in Bed Adult,” which arrived on June 30. During a routine customs examination and X-ray scan, Bureau of Customs (BOC) personnel detected the presence of the contraband, which was reportedly not concealed.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Clark said approximately 472 grams of kush were confiscated and will be sent to the PDEA-3 laboratory for forensic testing and confirmation.

The operation was carried out by the PDEA Clark International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group in coordination with the Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Pampanga District Office, and the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Unit.
Authorities are investigating the consignee and origin of the shipment as part of an intensified campaign against drug smuggling through international courier services.
