A Philippine Air Force UH-1H with tail #517 from the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing crashed in Bulonay, Bukidnon on Saturday afternoon killing seven onboard.
The victims were conducting resupply mission for the 8th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army along with another UH-1H.
Members of the 8IB rushed to the crashed site to secure the aircraft and the ill-fated aircrew and passengers.
The Philippine Air Force will immediately be sending an Investigation Team to determine the cause of the mishap.
The PAF said that all of its air assets, including the UH-1H, undergo strict, regular maintenance inspections before and after flight missions.
PAF Commanding General, Lt Gen Allen T. Paredes expressed sympathies to the families of the four military personnel and three passengers.
The PAF will provide financial aid for the bereaved families
