ANGELES CITY — Philippine Air Force (PAF) currently holds an exhibit in SM Clark as part of its 75th founding anniversary.
Featured are air assets and capabilities including air defense, and humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
PAF Public Affairs Office Chief Col. Maynard Mariano said the exhibit seeks to provide awareness to the public about the role of PAF, and the importance of air power in accomplishing its mission on territorial defense, air and maritime domain awareness, utility support, and force protection.
“Everything is for free. You can have your pictures taken, you can do your vlogs here, you can take a ride on our aircrafts, you can go around and take pictures of a lot of other displays,” he said.
Equipment and services displayed are from the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing, 5th Fighter Wing, 15th Strike Wing, 505th Search and Rescue Group, 710th Special Operations Wing, 2nd Air Resource Center, and Civilian Human Resource.
Meanwhile, Mariano pledged the continuous support of PAF to the Filipino people in performing their mandate to protect the Philippine skies.
“PAF would like to say that we are here in the service of the Filipino people. You may not see us in our everyday work, but rest assured if you need us, we are here for you,” he said.
The activity is the sixth leg of the series of PAF mall exhibits conducted in the different parts of the country including Cebu, Zamboanga, Albay, Davao, and Palawan. It will run until June 17.
