PAF, US conduct joint air drills

The Philippine Air Force and the United States Pacific Air Forces held a bilateral bomber air patrol and live drop exercise from February 2 to 6, 2026, in Tarlac and over the West Philippine Sea. Activities took place at Colonel Ernesto Rabina Air Base in Tarlac City and across the Luzon Strait, with support from the US Marine Corps Forces, Pacific and Special Operations Command Pacific. The drills involved FA-50PH fighter jets and US B-52 bombers, featuring live drop training, air defense scenarios, and joint patrols. Military officials said the exercises strengthened interoperability, improved command-and-control coordination, and boosted operational readiness to safeguard Philippine airspace and sovereignty.
