Twelve new domestic routes opened by Philippine Airlines (PAL) from Cebu and Clark are expected to boost local tourism travel during the summer season.
Starting March 26, 2017, PAL will fly from Cebu to Puerto Princesa, Busuanga, Surigao and General Santos.
On March 28, 2017, PAL will open flights from Clark to Puerto Princesa and Busuanga.
The new routes are part of airline’s network expansion plans and the development of Clark and Cebu as secondary hubs to help decongest the airport in Manila.
The expanded operations will make PAL flights accessible to more Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao passengers. The new routes are:
(Cebu-Busuanga-Cebu)
PR 2680 departs Cebu daily at 8:40AM and arrives in Busuanga at 10:10AM; PR 2681 leaves Busuanga at 1:50PM and touches down in Cebu at 3:20PM.
(Cebu-Puerto Princesa-Cebu)
PR 2347 departs Cebu for Puerto Princesa four times weekly (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) at 8:40AM and arrives at 9:55AM. Return journeys via PR2348 operate on same days with departures from Puerto Princesa at 10:35AM and arrivals in Cebu at 11:50AM.
(Cebu-General Santos-Cebu)
PR2355 leaves Cebu thrice weekly (Tuesdays, Thursday, Saturdays) at 8:30AM, touching down in General Santos at 9:40AM; PR2356 operates on same days taking off from General Santos at 10:20AM and landing in Cebu at 11:30AM.
PR 2357 departs Cebu four times weekly (Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays, Sundays) at 12:50PM and arrives in General Santos at 2PM; PR2358 leaves Cebu on same days at 2:40PM and touches down in General Santos at 3:50PM.
(Cebu-Surigao-Cebu)
PR 2395 departs Cebu thrice weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays) at 10:10AM and touches down in Surigao at 10:55AM. PR2396 leaves Surigao also on the same days at 11:15AM and arrives in Cebu at 12NN.
Flights between Cebu and Butuan will increase from daily to twice daily starting today (March 26).
The Cebu hub also operates domestic flights to Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Caticlan, Davao, Iloilo, Kalibo and Tacloban as well as international flights to Chengdu, Los Angeles, Nagoya, Osaka, Narita (Tokyo), Incheon (Seoul) and Singapore.
Meanwhile, new routes to operate from Clark to Puerto Princesa and Busuanga are:
(Clark-Puerto Princesa-Clark)
PR877 leaves Clark thrice-a-week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays) at 10:50AM and touches down in Puerto Princesa at 12:20PM; PR877 departs Puerto Princesa on same days at 1PM and arrives in Clark at 2:30PM.
(Clark-Busuanga-Clark)
PR2687 departs Clark daily at 12:10PM and arrives in Busuanga at 1:30PM; return flights leave daily at 10:30AM with arrivals in Clark at 11:50AM.
The Clark hub also operates domestic flights to Caticlan, Cebu and Davao as well as an international flight to Incheon (Seoul). (end)
