The Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (PamCham) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region III renewed their commitment to enhancing regional infrastructure synergy during the 13th Public-Private Consultation (PPC) Meeting, with a focus on integrating road systems with the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project.
DPWH officials presented key strategies, including anticipatory road planning near train stations, the development of arterial links to the NSCR, and joint convergence projects with local government units. The agency also underscored the need for mobility surveys and multi-modal transport integration to optimize station accessibility and boost economic activity.
Right of way (ROW) concerns were also discussed, with DPWH citing manageable issues but recognizing the importance of improved acquisition strategies, utility coordination, and relocation planning. While no direct assistance was requested from PamCham, DPWH lauded the chamber’s continued support, highlighting the value of public-private dialogue in pushing forward sustainable infrastructure development in Central Luzon.
