Agricultural Extension Workers from different cities and municipalities in the province attended this year’s Pampanga Agricultural Extension Worker’s Congress on September 14 which was spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Pampanga in partnership with the Department of Agriculture Region 3.
Dubbed “Kaagapay ng mga Magsasaka sa Kaunlaran,” the said congress aims to strengthen the knowledge of the Agricultural Extension Workers so they can help and assist the farmers by informing them on the agricultural practices and the innovations on farming methods.
In her opening remarks, City Agriculturist Cristina Sangumay stressed the annual gathering serves as a venue to discuss the plans and programs of different agriculture offices in the province.
In an interview, Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Government of Pampanga for conducting the congress in the city. He also lauded the efforts and the dedication of the Agricultural Extension Workers for helping the farmers in achieving food security and increasing agricultural productivity.
