Pampanga beefs up security, peace efforts

Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the first Peace and Order Council (POC) meeting of the year, bringing together the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), mayors, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders to strengthen security and order in the province.

One of the key highlights was the 9.24% drop in the crime rate, a testament to the effective implementation of security programs and swift police action under the leadership of Provincial Director PCOL Jay Dimaandal.

To enhance security in remote areas, the council allocated funds for the installation of CCTV cameras in 27 barangays across coastal and upland areas. This initiative aims to improve surveillance and ensure a faster response to incidents.

In addition, the provincial government turned over two vans to Pampanga’s SWAT and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams. The council also committed funds for the maintenance of these vehicles to ensure their readiness for security operations.

The Pampanga government, in collaboration with various agencies, continues to push for a safer and more peaceful community for all Kapampangans.
