Pampanga cops join nationwide earthquake drill

The Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) participated in the 4th Quarter 2024 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on Tuesday, November 14, showcasing their commitment to disaster preparedness.

Officers and staff practiced the “duck, cover, and hold” technique at the PPO headquarters, carrying go bags equipped with survival essentials. These drills aim to enhance readiness and ensure effective response during earthquakes.

Police Major Joy V. Placido, Officer-in-Charge of the Police Community Affairs and Development Unit (PCADU), highlighted the significance of such exercises, noting their role in validating contingency plans and assessing personnel preparedness.

“Our participation in NSED reinforces our commitment to public safety and disaster readiness,” said Police Colonel Jay C. Dimaandal, Provincial Director of the Pampanga PPO. “Continuous training ensures both our personnel and the communities we serve are protected.”
