Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda has announced that he will extend legal assistance to nearly 600 displaced workers of Fontana Development Corp. and Fontana Resort and Country Club in Clark Freeport. The companies closed after the Clark Development Corp. (CDC) issued a cease-and-desist order, citing their failure to meet financial and contractual obligations.

The workers, seeking salary and benefits, were left stranded after the abrupt shutdown. Governor Pineda’s move ensures that legal support will be provided to help them claim the compensation they are owed.

The CDC’s action against the companies highlights concerns over unpaid obligations, prompting the governor to step in and assist the affected workers in securing their rights.
