Pampanga Guv gives aid to Bataan fire victims

ORION, BATAAN — The Provincial Government of Pampanga sent relief goods to some 1,873 residents of Brgy. Capunitan here who were affected by the fire happened last January. 


Assisted by Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Angie Blanco, Provincial Social Welfare Development Officer Elizabeth Baybayan, Orion Mayor Antonio Raymundo Jr., and Lubao mayoral bet Esmie Pineda, the Governor handed to beneficiaries 10kg of rice, assorted canned goods and towels. 


According to the lady Governor, although the province [Bataan] is not her jurisdiction, the Capitol of Pampanga is wide open to help them. 


“Basta kaya namin, ng Pampanga, tutulong kami sa mga karatig-probinsya,” she added. 


Moreover, PDRRMO Angie Blanco shared that it is Vice Gov. Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda’s initiation to send help to the fire victims. 


“Sa liderato po ni Nanay (Gov. Pineda) at ni Vice Gov. Delta, napagplanuhan ang pagpapadala ng tulong sa mga biktima ng sunog dito,” she furthered.


For his part, Mayor Raymundo Jr., announced to the fire victims that the National Government thru former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Bong Go, National Housing Authority (NHA) and Bataan Governor Albert Raymond ‘Abet’ Garcia would allot a budget for their “permanent homes.”
