Pampanga holds ‘Kalinga ni Nanay’ media pre-screening

PAMPANGA, Philippines — Nearly 200 residents of Pampanga received free medical pre-screening as part of the provincial government’s Kalinga ni Nanay surgical, medical, and ophthalmological mission, held at the PDRRMO Training Center in preparation for an upcoming free surgical mission.

The activity was conducted in partnership with the Nanay Partylist, OFW Hospital, and Makati Medical Center, under the leadership of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda.

According to the provincial government, the beneficiaries were evaluated for various types of tumors and medical conditions that may qualify for free surgical procedures scheduled on February 18 to 21.

One of the beneficiaries, Ryan Tuquero of Sto. Tomas, Pampanga, expressed gratitude for the program, saying he has been living with a tumor for three years.

“I’m already very thankful to our government because we were able to get free check-ups, especially since I’ve been suffering from a tumor for three years now,” Tuquero said.

The medical pre-screening was led by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Dax Tidula, along with Executive Assistant IV Angelina Blanco, personnel from the Provincial Health Office, Nanay Community Workers, and medical staff from Makati Medical Center.

The Kalinga ni Nanay program is part of the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to provide accessible healthcare services, particularly to indigent Kapampangans.
