The Pampanga Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) once again earned a “Beyond Compliant” rating during the 2024 Gawad KALASAG Seal for Local Government Units (LGUs) and Special Awards in DRRM and Humanitarian Assistance.
The Joint National and Regional Awarding Ceremony, organized by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, was held on Thursday, November 28, at the Laus Group Event Centre in this city.
Pampanga PDRRMC received an overall score of 2.85 out of 3.00, reflecting its continued efforts to exceed the mandated standards for Local DRRM Offices and Councils under Republic Act 10121, or the Philippine DRRM Act of 2010.
Board Member Atty. Ananias “Jun” Canlas, along with representatives from the Pampanga PDRRMO, accepted the award on behalf of PDRRMC Chairperson Governor Dennis G. Pineda and PDRRMO Head Angelina S. Blanco.
The “Beyond Compliant” recognition underscores Pampanga’s commitment to advancing disaster preparedness and resilience in the province.
