Pampanga police nab 71 suspects in sweep

PAMPANGA, Philippines – A week-long police crackdown in Pampanga led to the arrest of 71 individuals, including 10 of the province’s most wanted, the Pampanga Police Provincial Office reported on Sunday, March 30.

The operations, carried out from March 24 to 30, also resulted in the seizure of 56.83 grams of shabu worth ₱386,444, leading to 30 drug-related arrests. Authorities also confiscated six firearms and arrested five individuals in anti-loose firearm operations. Meanwhile, three suspects were caught in an illegal gambling raid.

Pampanga police chief Colonel Jay Dimaandal lauded the officers for their role in the successful operations, emphasizing their dedication to public safety. He reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to ensuring a secure environment, particularly as the province gears up for the upcoming elections.
