MAGALANG, Pampanga — Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda spearheaded a community outreach program in Barangays San Roque and Navaling, reinforcing the Provincial Government of Pampanga’s commitment to public service. The initiative, held under the Capitol’s banner, provided essential services, financial aid, and relief assistance to residents in need.
A key highlight of the event was the announcement of a modern provincial hospital to be constructed in Clark, a development welcomed by the local community. Residents expressed gratitude for the improved healthcare access, with Mary Ann Castro of San Roque citing the importance of medical support, particularly when her family faced a dengue outbreak. The hospital project aligns with Pampanga’s broader efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across the province.
In addition to healthcare initiatives, the Capitol program distributed food and cash assistance to 931 residents of San Roque and Navaling. Government agencies, including the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), played a key role in coordinating relief efforts, particularly for families affected by recent flooding.
The outreach initiative also emphasized disaster preparedness and disease prevention, with fumigation efforts conducted to curb the spread of mosquito-borne illnesses. Residents were briefed on government programs aimed at improving public health and safety, reinforcing the province’s proactive approach to community welfare.
Board Member Jun Canlas, PSWD Officer Fe Manarang, Mayor Malu Lacson, and Councilor Norman Lacson joined the event, highlighting a unified approach to governance. With continued efforts to expand public services, the Pampanga provincial government aims to strengthen its support systems for communities across the region.
