Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda has been elected Executive Vice President of the League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) during the league’s first General Assembly held on July 25 in Quezon City.
Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. of South Cotabato was elected as LPP National President, while Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua of Quirino was named National Chairman.
The new set of officers took their oath before Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla Jr., who urged stronger inter-provincial cooperation to support reforms under the upcoming Local Government Code of 2026.
