As part of their Anniversary Celebration 2021, the PHI BETA RHO CONFRATERNITY thru the initiative of the STA. MARIA VILLAGE II CHAPTER launched “Healthy Buhay at Hanap Buhay” a Medical Mission in partnership with the Bridges of Benevolent Initiative Foundation Inc. (BBIF Inc.) headed by Businessman Dr. Irineo “Bong” Alvaro Jr. , PhD and the Office of Senator Risa Hontiveros last December 18, 2021 at Barangay Lourdes Northwest (LNW) covered court, Angeles City.
According to Mr. Justin Yves C. Gozun, BBIF Inc., Executive Director who happens to a Most Exalted Brother (MEB) of SMV II chapter, the primary objective of this community service is to provide health services among the members and their families. Practicing the group’s slogan, “Phi Beta Rho First before Others”, Gozun said it is health and wellbeing of each and every “Kafratid” be given priority and attention especially in this time of pandemic and high cost of medical services and consultation” . A mobile clinic was setup at the venue and among the procedures being offered for FREE are Blood Chemistry, Free X-ray, Ultrasound and Electrocardiogram (ECG). A team of doctors and medical technicians provided medical consultation to more than 300 member patients. Volunteer nurses coming from members and supporters assisted in the patient’s registration, assessment, recording of vital signs and dispensing necessary medicines.
Gozun added that among the notable Brothers who coordinated to make the event possible are: Brgy. Captain Brod Chris Cortez of Mining, Kagawad Brod Randy Malonzo, Pampanga Executive Board (PEB) Chairman Brod Chito Reyes and DAR Officers led by Chairman Brod Eric Moralez , LNW Brgy. Captain Andy Tan and Council led by Kagawad Brod Nic Soriano. The venue’s security and peace and order was provided by the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Unit Region 3 (PNP AVSEU 3) stationed inside the Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.
