PILAR, Bataan — Newly-installed Bataan Police Provincial Police OIC-provincial director, Senior Supt. Marcelo Dayag on Saturday led the Fitness Run for his police personnel held along Mt. Samat area of this historic town.
The activity was initiated by PD Dayag with his deputy provincial director for administration PSupt. Donato R. Bait and other officers and personnel from different units and police stations from 11 municipalities and one component city.
Police personnel with 39 inches and above waistline were required to participate in the said activity.
In 2016, the Philippine National Police officially launched the PNP Comprehensive Health and Fitness Program (PNP CHFP) at the PNP Transformation Oval in Camp Crame.
The activity, with the theme: “Malusog na Kapulisan Para sa Mahusay na Serbisyo sa Mamamayan”, included simultaneous Fun Run/Jog/Walk and Fun Bike led by the PNP Chief, Police Director General Ronald Dela Rosa and was participated by personnel from different units.
The program aims to inculcate to all PNP personnel the importance of being healthy and physically fit, and to instill a lifetime habit of self-discipline in maintaining good health.
