The Pampanga Electric Cooperative III infused at least P4 million for an electrification project in Barangay Consuelo, Macabebe town in Pampanga.
This, according to Elizabeth Urbano, Pelco-3 officer-in-charge, when interviewed during the energization of Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) at the coastal village.
Pelco III board directors Con Macalino, Eduardo Raquiz and Honorio Sitchon joined Macabebe Mayor Annette Flores Balgan in the simple ceremony at the municipal annex building at Consuelo.
Aside from the annex building, at least 77 households benefited from the project.
Balgan urged Consuelo residents led by Barangay Captain Fernando Lopez to “pay their electric bills on time and asked them not to put illegal jumpers.”
Balgan also asked Pelco III officials to improve their services, especially when determining the bill of a consumer.
Macalino of Macabebe said those who benefited from the project should not abuse their privilege.
