Barangay Balibago chairman candidate Joseph PG Ponce asked voters to be on guard and report any irregularities with regards to conduct of Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections on Monday, October 30.
“I call on my supporters and voters to remain vigilant on irregularities and election offenses that would affect the free vote of every kabarangay,” he said on Saturday, October 28.
Particular attention should be given to vote buying/selling, coercion and black propaganda would drum up such efforts on the last day before election.
Ponce stressed, “We shall remain vigilant before, during, and after elections as we resist vote manipulation, disinformation, violence, and abuse of power.”
“I ask my fellow candidates to affirm their pledge of promoting good governance. I also urged authorities to fulfill their duties without undermining the credibility of the election process.
Let’s guard our votes as we value the lives of our family and friends, the future of our barangay, and the next generation. Let the people decide. Let truth and fairness prevail.
