The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has recently welcomed a new C-130 cargo aircraft, tail number 5157, as part of two C-130s co-funded by the United States under the Excess Defense Article program. The aircraft arrived in February 2024 and boosts the PAF’s airlift capabilities.

Currently, the PAF operates five C-130 cargo aircraft and is set to receive three additional brand-new C-130s. These are part of a contract signed in December 2022, with deliveries expected to begin in the second half of next year, provided the schedule proceeds as planned.
