The full political machinery of Pampanga, led by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay Baby” Pineda, came out in full force on Wednesday to express their support for the 11 senatorial candidates of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. under the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas.
In a massive show of unity and strength, Pampanga’s top officials—including mayors, board members, and barangay leaders—joined thousands of Kapampangans who filled four venues in the cities of Angeles and San Fernando to back the administration coalition’s campaign.
Speaking in Kapampangan at one of the venues, Governor Pineda said, “We are here today to welcome Alyansa. It means a lot for us Kapampangans to show that we know how to welcome the administration’s candidates.”
He added: “Our support now could lead to future benefits for the entire province through the projects they can bring to the Kapampangans. That’s why it is important that we support them.”
The Alyansa ticket includes former Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Senator Pia Cayetano, former Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, Senator Lito Lapid, former Senator Manny Pacquiao, former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Senate Majority Leader Francis “Tol” Tolentino, ACT-CIS Representative and former Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo, and Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.
Alyansa campaign manager and Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco said the turnout and unified backing of Pampanga officials reflect the growing momentum of the coalition as the campaign enters its final stretch.
“This is a strong show of support. Kapampangans turned out in large numbers, and the energy on the ground was truly encouraging,” Tiangco said.
“We thank Governor Delta, Vice Governor Nanay Baby, and all our Kapampangan leaders for standing strong with Alyansa,” he added.
The Alyansa slate was welcomed in four major venues: the Lapid Arena Sports Complex in Angeles City, and the Laus Events Center, Kingsborough International Convention Center, and Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando.
At each stop, the candidates were met with loud cheers and full endorsements from local leaders and residents.
Mayors and other local officials from all 19 towns, the highly urbanized city of Angeles, and the component cities of San Fernando and Mabalacat were strategically grouped across the four venues.
Senator Lapid, a native of Porac and former governor of Pampanga, was greeted with thunderous applause from fellow Kapampangans, reflecting his enduring popularity and deep local roots.
With 1.67 million registered voters and a voter turnout of nearly 87 percent in 2022, Pampanga remains a formidable political force in national elections.
“Alyansa is ready to fight for every vote and win alongside the Filipino people,” Tiangco said.
“This is not just about winning seats, it’s about building a Senate that delivers,” he stressed.
