
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The Pineda mother and son tandem will both serve their fresh term in office as Governor and Vice Governor, after they were proclaimed by the Provincial Board of Canvassers Tuesday afternoon.
Garnering 709,694 votes, incumbent Vice Governor Lilia Pineda won the gubernatorial race against her opponents former Candaba Mayor Danilo Baylon and Amado Santos
“I am very happy. I am thankful to all the Kapampangans because I see and feel your love. I will strive to serve you even more. Your love inspires me to continue working harder,” she said.
The older Pineda previously served as Governor from 2010-2019.
Meanwhile, incumbent Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, won against his sole opponent, Among Ed Panlilio, after garnering a total of 751,077 votes.
“I am happy. At least we have seen that majority of the Kapampangans still support us. In return, we still need to work hard to help those in need, especially those in need, when it comes to projects and programs. We will not just rely on the provincial funds. Nanay and I will also pursue national government support so we can bring more projects here in Pampanga,” he said.
He also called on his fellow public servants to move on with politics and work and help each other for the progress of the province.

The younger Pineda previously served as Vice Governor from 2013-2019.
Meanwhile, for the congressional race, former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo of the 2nd district and Anna York Bondoc-Sagum of the 4th district will both serve their second consecutive term after returning to Congress in 2022.
Prior to their comeback, Arroyo served three terms in Congress until 2019, while Bondoc served three terms until 2013.
Moreover, Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. of the 1st district and Alyssa Michaela “Mica” Gonzales of the 3rd district will serve their first term in the upcoming 20th Congress.
The Provincial Board of Canvassers also proclaimed Cherry Manalo and Christian Halili as Board Members of the province’s 1st district.
Winning 2nd district Board Members include Frances Olga “Fritzie” David-Dizon, Sajid Khan Eusoof, and Claire Lim.
Michaeline “My-My” Mercado Gonzales, Lucky Dinan Labung, and Shiwen Lim win as Board Members of the 3rd district.
Meanwhile, Kariza “Doc Kaye” Naguit and Vince Nelson Calara won the polls for Board Members of the 4th district.
The province has about 1.67 million registered voters for the 2025 National and Local Elections, the second largest in Central Luzon after Bulacan. (CLJD/MJSC, PIA Region 3-Pampanga)
