CAMP CRAME- Philippine National Police Chief, Police General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan announced the reassignment and swapping of 2,033 police personnel who will go back to their home towns under the 2nd tranche of the Localization of Assignments Program.
In a ceremonial send-off on Monday, November 9, the PNP Chief noted the program, now on its second wave, aims “to improve work performance, and morale, and welfare of police personnel across the country.”
Coinciding with their Regular Flag-Raising Ceremonies, 17 Police Regional Offices conducted their simultaneous send-off ceremonies to all reassigned personnel this morning, Acting Director for Personnel and Records Management, Police Brigadier General Rolando Hinanay said.
“We rolled out today the second wave of the PNP Localization Program by reassigning police personnel to their hometowns and places of residence,” he said.
He also pointed out the program emphasizes personnel’s sense of ownership and importance where he truly came from and in addressing the issues and concerns in their respective localities, particularly on peace and order and security.
“To our personnel who will go back to their hometowns, serve your community with passion and care so our people can truly say “ang Pulis Ko’y Respetado, Responsable, at Disiplinado,” Cascolan said.
Since September, the PNP, thru the Directorate for Personnel Records and Management (DPRM) redeployed 2,222 PNP personnel to hometown assignments where they are now performing their duty.
The PNP Chief ordered all sending units are directed to facilitate the clearances, certifications, and other pertinent requirements needed and as well as to ensure travel health protocols are observed.
In coordination with local government units, Hinanay added that reassigned personnel will strictly observe the required health standards and protocols in all phases of the program to ensure that workplace measures, rules, and regulations are complied with to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19.
