CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — 6.12 million pesos worth of suspected high grade shabu were recovered by the joint elements of Hagonoy Municipal Police Station (MPS), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 3, Bulacan PDEA, Pampanga PDEA, CIA-IADITG (Clark International Airport- Inter Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group, Bureau of Custom (BOC- Port of Clark), Bulacan Provincial Special Operation Group (PSOG), Bulacan Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) in Brgy. Sto. Rosario, Hagonoy on Friday afternoon.
Bulacan police director P/Sr Supt. Chito G. Bersaluna identified tha arrested suspect as Jeffrey Samson alias Jeff, 35 years old and a resident of Purok 7, Brgy. San Jose of said town.
Bersaluna said that based on the report about 2:15 pm, a joint controlled delivery operation against the suspect was conducted that resulted to his arrest. The suspect received the delivery of a vacuum sealed plastic containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” with an approximate weight of more or less 900 grams with an estimated value of P6.12 million.
“The said parcel was addressed to the suspect from Las Vegas, USA,” Bersaluna added.
Recovered pieces of evidence and the suspect were brought to PDEA Forensic Laboratory, PDEA Regional Office 3, City San Fernando, Pampanga for appropriate examination. Criminal complaint for Violation of Art II Sections 4 of RA 9165 (Importation of Dangerous Drugs and/or Controlled Precursors and Essential Chemicals) is being prepared for filing before court.
“Continuous coordination and follow-up is undertaken to trace the specific source of the said contraband,” Bersaluna insisted.
