CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3) is promoting urban gardening amidst the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
“Rektang Urban Gardening sa Kampo” is a flagship project of PRO 3 wherein portions of Camp Olivas were utilized for fish farming or aquaculture and vegetable garden.
“This is in support to the Department of Agriculture’s Kadiwa program to serve more people and ensure the unhampered supply of fresh produce,” Police Regional Director PBGen. Rhodel Sermonia said.
This morning, Sermonia led the harvest of tons of produce including fresh okra, eggplants, tomatoes, chili pepper and tilapia.
“This will help provide additional fish and vegetable supply among our personnel, and of course, the needy during this time of crisis,” Sermonia added.
Other banner projects initiated by PRO 3 during this ECQ include Rektang Bayanihan, Adopt a Family and Food Bank.
