PPC’s iOrbit News Online celebrates 2nd anniversary

The Pampanga Press Club (PPC)’s online news website iOrbit News Online will celebrate its second anniversary on Tuesday.

The anniversary celebration, which coincides with PPC’s 69th founding anniversary, will be held at Quest Hotel’s Hilltop in Clark Freeport Zone.

Expected guests to the event are former President and Pampanga Second District Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda and Special Assistant to the President Bong Go.

The iOrbit News Online was launched on August 28, 2016 with PPC as the sole owner and operator. It was the first online news portal in Central Luzon.

The news portal was conceptualized and founded by PPC President Deng Pangilinan in a bid to provide an independent outlet for news and current events happening within the central plains of Luzon in real time.

Pangilinan earlier stated that modern technology such as the internet has allowed media practitioners to post their stories in real time as events unfold including a posting live coverages.

He said that unlike watching the news on television or listening to it on the radio, online news services allow the public to choose which articles to watch or read. They do not have to waste their time on issues that do not interest them.

Aside from news articles, the portal also features news videos.

The iOrbit News Online staff includes seasoned writers, photographers and videographers all pitching in news stories, feature articles, pictures, videos, and columns that deal with current events happening within Central Luzon as well as national issues that impact the lives of people in the region.

iOrbit News Online can be accessed anytime, anywhere, through mobile phone users or through office PCs through its website www.iorbitnewsonline.com.
