ANGELES CITY – The Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) and PRO3 have distributed relief goods to 650 workers along the Walking Street in Barangay Balibago here on Friday.
PCapt. Agnes Nolasco said the relief goods were distributed to beneficiaries under the ‘Rektang Bayanihan: Adopt a Family Program “Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko” Project.’
The project is an initiative of PBGen Rhodel Sermonia, PRO3 Regional Director and PCol Joyce Patrick Sangalang, ACPO City Director amid the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) implemented in the country to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus or COVID-19.
Nolasco said the project “aims to alleviate the burden brought to each and every family in our community during these trying times.”
The relief distribution seeks to recognize the Filipino workforce as the country celebrates Labor Day on May 1.
Nolasco said since the implementation of the ECQ from March 24 to April 2020, the ACPO and PRO3 have extended assistance to 2,872 families in Angeles City.
