PRO3 joins nation in marking Independence Day

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) joined the country in commemorating the 127th Philippine Independence Day with a solemn and meaningful ceremony held at the PRO3 Multi-Purpose Building in Camp Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

With the theme “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan: Pag-alabin ang Diwang Makabayan,” the celebration underscored patriotism and the continuing role of the police in nation-building.

PRO3 Deputy Regional Director for Administration, Brigadier General Jeffrey Z. Decena, represented the regional office at the national celebration held at the historic Barasoain Church in Malolos City, Bulacan, led by Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero. Simultaneously, Colonel Fitz A. Macariola, PRO3 Chief of Regional Staff, attended the commemoration at the Pamintuan Mansion in Angeles City, another site of great historical significance.

In a message, PRO3 Regional Director Brigadier General Jean S. Fajardo urged police personnel to continue their committed and patriotic service to the nation.

“Let us keep the flame of patriotism burning in the heart of every PRO3 personnel. Our oath is simple yet noble — to serve, protect, and fight for the rights of every Filipino, in pursuit of a free, safe, and dignified nation,” Fajardo said.

She echoed the call of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for stronger trust and cooperation between the police and the public, emphasizing that unity is essential in achieving long-lasting peace.

Fajardo stressed that through police-community partnership, the spirit of patriotism — the bedrock of freedom — can be strengthened and sustained.
