PURA, Tarlac — Municipality of Pura recently celebrated its 8th Panagyaman Festival through various activities that promotes and highlights its tradition and culture.
“Panagyaman is an ilocano word for thanksgiving. This festival is a grand celebration of giving thanks to all the Puranians for their relentless efforts and support to our town,” Mayor Concepcion Zarate said.
Activities include Agri-Trade Fair, Farmer’s Day, Zumba, Job Fair, Drum and Lyre Competition, Dance Competition, 1st Panagyaman Fun Ride dubbed as Padyak Pura, Grand Float Parade, Search for Miss Pura, and Ballroom Night.
“This weeklong celebration provided an avenue to showcase Pura’s agriculture and livelihood best practices that contributes to the whole agricultural productivity of Tarlac,” Zarate added. (CLJD/CJVF-PIA 3)
