Qatar Airways has reduced its daily flights at the Clark International Airport to four times per week amid the COVID-19 threat.
Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) based in the Middle East comprise the passengers of the Middle eastern airline. Emirates of Dubai also operates in the Clark airport.
When asked about the Middle East flights, spokeswoman Teri Flores of the Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation (LIPAD) said “As of today po meron pa din, although yung Qatar flights have been reduced from previous daily flights, naging 4x a week na lang siya.”
Most of the flights at Clark airport had been cancelled particularly to countries affected by the coronavirus such as China, Hong Kong Macau, etc. Domestic flights to Davao, Cebu and Palawan were also cancelled as various cities prevent entry of passengers in their area to prevent the spreas of the disease.
