QC cop faces raps for robbing courier company in Bulacan

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A police officer is  facing criminal and administrative charges for allegedly robbing on Monday a courier company in Bulacan. 

Bulacan police provincial director Col. Lawrence Cajipe said the police was informed that a man wearing black sweater and black bonnet with an orange helmet on a black plateless Yamaha motorcycle robbed an LBC branch in Bgy. Camias, San Miguel, Bulacan around 1 pm on Monday.
A flash alarm was immediately sent to adjacent police stations as a pursuit operation was conducted by members of the San Ildefonso, San Miguel and Cabanatuan police stations that resulted in the arrest of the suspect Cpl. Moises Yango, 29, assigned at the Quezon City Police District and  resident of Camp Karingal, Sikatuna Village, Quezon City, in Bgy.  Poblacion, San Ildefonso, Bulacan.

Seized from him were one  hand grenade, a  loaded .9mm Pietro Beretta, eight live bullets, a wallet containing his PNP ID, driver’s license, other identification cards, ATM cards and the P5,000 cash loot.  The PNP has zero tolerance for any form of misdemeanor or  criminal conduct by any of its personnel and we work swiftly sparing no effort to ensure that such criminals who endanger the public’s safety are dealt with firmly and severely in accordance with the law,” said  PRO3 regional director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon. 

De Leon stressed that getting rid of lawless elements and weeding out of scalawags and erring cops in the PNP is the standing directive of PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar in his Intensified Cleansing Policy (ICP).
