MANILA – Most parts of the country will experience rains on Monday, the weather bureau said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecast rains with gusty winds over Kalayaan Islands in Palawan due to a tropical storm (formerly “Vicky”) that exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Sunday afternoon.
“Vicky” was last tracked 175 kilometers south southwest of Kalayaan Islands, outside PAR. Tropical cyclone wind signal no. 1 was hoisted over the island group.
The tail-end of a frontal system, meanwhile, will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Aurora and Quezon.
Partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers will be experienced over Visayas, Mindanao and the rest of Palawan.
The northeast monsoon will cause rains over Cagayan Valley, and light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.Moderate to strong winds, moderate to rough seas will prevail over Luzon. (PNA)
