BALER, Aurora – Incumbent Lone District Representative Rommel Angara has been proclaimed the winner of the congressional race in the province of Aurora after running unopposed in the May 2025 National and Local Elections.
He secured a total of 102,615 votes, solidifying his strong support across the province and earning his third and final consecutive term.
Grateful for the overwhelming support, Angara has pledged to prioritize fulfilling a key promise that he believes is crucial for the province’s future: significantly upgrading healthcare services across Aurora.
“The province is in good condition. We have a hospital, but what we really want is to build a Department of Health-run medical center—fully equipped with complete facilities, doctors, and nurses,” the legislator said.
He emphasized his commitment to securing legislative approval for this critical project during the upcoming session of the House of Representatives from June 2 to 30.
“If everything goes according to plan, this medical center will be a cornerstone of the next phase of Aurora’s development,” he added.
Since taking office in 2019, Angara has been a staunch advocate for development programs across various sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and social services.
His legislative efforts have resulted in several notable bills, including the declaration of the Aurora Memorial Landscape as a protected area, increasing the bed capacity of Aurora Memorial Hospital, upgrading the minimum salary grade level of teachers, and recognizing Baler as the birthplace of Philippine surfing.
As he enters his final term, Angara remains committed to driving sustainable development that improves the quality of life for every Auroran, with a particular emphasis on healthcare as a critical pillar for the province’s future growth. (CLJD/MAT, PIA Region 3-Aurora)
