A woman suspected to be a member of a rent-tangay vehicle group was arrested on Tuesday evening in an entrapment in Pampanga.
Region 3 CIDG chief Col. Norberto Delmas identified the suspect as Myra Dizon, of Metrogate Subdivision, Bgy. Capaya, Angeles City, who was nabbed by members of the CIDG Pampanga and the Sta. Rita municipal police in a sting in Bgy. Dila-dila, Sta. Rita.
Delmas said the operation was launched based on a complaint by victims Ronaldo Delfin Divina and four others against Dizon, who allegedly rented their vehicles.
The complainants told police Dizon failed to pay the rental fee and return the vehicles despite several demands from the owners.
The complainants said Dizon showed them documents proving she is allegedly the legitimate owner of a company, which belonged to another person, to lure unsuspecting clients.
Seized from Dizon were a falsified OR/CR for Toyota Vios (NDQ7378); a fake OR/CR for Toyota Vios (ZMV 651); a red Toyota Vios registered to VCSI Company with deed of sale to Ronaldo Delfin B. Divina; a white Toyota Vios registered to Ana Liza Judal; a black Toyota Vios registered to Richard Rivera and subject of “failure to return motor vehicle” complaint; and IDs.
The suspect is now under the custody of CIDG Pampanga and will be charged with large scale estafa.
