Rep. Roman leads TESDA scholars’ graduation rites

ORANI, Bataan – A total of 129 persons recently graduated from various technical courses conducted by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in coordination with the Office of 1st District Congresswoman Geraldine B. Roman.

The graduation and turn over ceremonies took place last January 19 and 26 2018 at the Bulwagang Pangkabuhayan at the district office of Rep. Roman in this first-class municipality.


Last January 19, sixty welding machines were distributed to 60 graduates of SMAW NC I (Shielded, Metalic Arc Welding).
The scholars were divided into 3 batches from different schools namely: Acuña Welding School Inc. with 20 students/scholars; Skills Enhancement Academy and Training Center Inc. (20 students/ scholars); and Bataan Peninsula Educational Institution Inc. (20 students/scholars).

Last Friday, January 26, sixty nine students/ scholars graduated from various technical courses such as: Dressmaking (25 scholars), Pipefitting (20), and Service motorcycle course (24).

Twenty five sewing machines were awarded to the graduates of dressmaking course while 20 pipefitting tools sets were given to pipefitting course graduates and lastly, 24 sets of motorcycle tool kits were distributed to service motorcycle course graduates. 

Congresswoman Roman this year has allotted P2 million this year for this program for different technical courses under TESDA namely: EIM NC II (Electrical Installation Maintenance); SMAW NC I; Dressmaking NC II; Perform Engine Tune Up (leading to automotive servicing NCI); Perform Manicure / Pedicure (leading to Beauty Care NC II); Food Processing; and Pipefitting NC II.

Jecar Ramos, TESDA coordinator from Congresswoman Roman’s office, said the schedules and budget allocation for these courses is yet to be announced soon by their office.
