CABANATUAN CITY – In keeping with the government’s goal to connect communities and bring services closer to the people, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a new road in Barangay Inanama, Llanera, Nueva Ecija.

Measuring 1.005 kilometers, the two-lane concrete pavement includes two-meter-wide shoulders and drainage structures, ensuring durability and safety for the community.

DPWH Nueva Ecija 1st District Engineer Jun Vana said the road responds to the community’s need for better access to services and opportunities in neighboring areas.

“This project aims to improve access to nearby towns such as Rizal and Natividad and provide better routes to schools, markets, and other essential services,” Vana said.

He added that the initiative also helps reduce travel time, save fuel, and cut vehicle maintenance costs for daily commuters.

Funded at P19.4 million under the 2025 national budget, the road project supports President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s priority to strengthen road connectivity and improve the quality of life in rural areas. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Nueva Ecija)
