MEXICO, Pampanga – The Rotary Club of Dolores continued its commitment to supporting education by donating school supplies to Grade 1 pupils of Lagundi Elementary School on Monday, September 29, at 10:30 a.m.
The activity, aligned with Rotary’s Area of Focus on Basic Education, was originally scheduled for September 25 but was moved due to the class suspension brought about by a recent typhoon.
A total of 74 Grade 1 students received plastic envelopes filled with essential learning materials such as notebooks, pencils, crayons, pad paper, rulers, erasers, and scissors.
Present during the turnover were Rotary Club of Dolores President Albert Lacanlale, Past Presidents Leo Co, Dennis Sanchez, Alex Aquino, and Renz Tiomico, along with Rotarians Leo Siron and Ian Liwanag.
The club said the initiative aims to help young learners have the necessary tools to perform better in their studies and to ease the burden on parents in providing basic school needs.
