According to RPCO Procurement Unit Head Engr. Gil G. David the project assessment aims to enhance transparency and supervision on various existing development projects for this year.
Engr. David stressed that the assessment focused on the validation and inspection of quality and workmanship issues on the ground specifically the actions taken on the surveillance and safeguards compliance in monitoring these projects.
Among the matters discussed were the improvement of San Jose – Castuli farm to market road in Macabebe, disbursement targets for I-BUILD and I-REAP and proposed termination of civil works due to a recorded 36.72 negative slippage.
Meanwhile, Monitoring and Evaluation Head June H. Lacasandile expressed his gratitude to RPCO for organizing the assessment.
These projects are jointly funded by the World Bank, national government and other participating local government units.
