SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA—The City Government of San Fernando revived its free kalesa ride program on May 15, giving locals and tourists a unique way to experience the city’s historic sites as part of the ongoing Pyestang Fernandino 2025 celebration.

Passengers were taken on heritage tours by kutseros (kalesa drivers) from Megaworld Capital Town Pampanga to the city’s Heritage District, where they viewed centuries-old houses and culturally significant buildings.

The initiative, held regularly, aims to promote traditional kalesa transport as a symbol of San Fernando’s heritage and provide additional income opportunities for kutseros.

City officials announced that the free kalesa rides will return to Capital Town on May 22, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., continuing efforts to blend cultural preservation with sustainable tourism.
