SAN SIMON- First-term Mayor Abundio ‘ Jun’ Punsalan Jr. thanked the former President of the San Simon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. for pledging to fund the construction of the new public market amounting to P 35 Million.
Punsalan said that Former SSCCII President and Wan Chiong Steel Corporation owner Benjamin Co has promised to.sponsor the new public market building and its facilities. Punsalan said that he is grateful to Mr. Co and the SSFFII led by their new President former LPGMA Partylist Representative and REGASCO owner Arnel Ty for their support to the LGU.
He said that the strong partnership between the public and private sector is help facilitate the delivery of services to Simonians and fast implementation of worthy projects. Punsalan said that the new public market will be strategically located in Barangay San Jose and will have modern facilities and enough parking space. He also thanked SSFFII for donating two fire trucks and 14 ambulances, fiberglass boats among others
. For his part, SSCCII President Arnel Ty said that the business group is committed to supporting the programs and projects of the LGU led by Mayor Punsalan. Ty said that the new and old members are all committed to augmenting the programs of Punsalan, adding that the Chamber will play a more active role in the community by partnering with the LGU here.
